UniLens ("we", "us", or "our") operates unilens.net. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
- Account data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID.
- Profile data: Photographers may provide a bio, university, price range, portfolio content, and a profile photo.
- Usage data: We may log request metadata (IP address, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
- Uploaded images: Photos you upload are stored in Cloudflare R2 and served publicly via a CDN URL.
- Inquiries and ratings: Messages sent between clients and photographers, and ratings you submit, are stored in our database.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the UniLens platform.
- To authenticate you and maintain your session.
- To display your photographer profile to other users.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. inquiry accepted/declined notifications).
- To process subscription payments via Stripe.
- To detect and prevent abuse.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services necessary to operate UniLens:
- Google OAuth — for authentication.
- Cloudflare — for hosting, edge computing, KV storage, R2 object storage, and email delivery.
- Stripe — for subscription billing. Stripe handles all payment data; we never store card numbers.
Photographer profile information (name, bio, photos, university, pricing) is publicly visible to all visitors.
Data Retention
We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. You may contact us to request deletion. Uploaded images can be deleted from your dashboard at any time.
Cookies and Sessions
We use a single HttpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
Security
Sessions are stored server-side in Cloudflare KV. Cookies are marked HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax. Stripe webhook payloads are verified by signature.
Children
UniLens is intended for college students (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of UniLens after changes constitutes acceptance.
